BOMA/Chicago Foundation Leadership Update
The BOMA/Chicago Foundation is excited to announce its new leadership team, ushering in a new chapter of growth and impact.
Bridgette Battle (Hines) has been appointed as the new Foundation President, bringing her expertise and passion for advancing diversity and professional development in commercial real estate. Joe Sherman (Chicago Symphony Orchestra) will serve as Vice President, and Teresa Amaro (Sterling Bay) has been named Treasurer. Additionally, the Foundation welcomes Zachary Thomas (EQ Office) as the new Emerging Leader Director.
These leadership transitions follow the outstanding tenure of Lance Knez (Hines), who has served as Foundation President since 2021. Under Lance’s leadership, the Foundation reached new heights—setting new records for sponsorships, attendance, and revenue, as well as launching an internship program and supporting the country's first registered apprenticeship program for commercial office management. His dedication has been instrumental in strengthening the Foundation’s mission to create a stronger, more inclusive future in commercial real estate.
The BOMA/Chicago Foundation looks forward to building on this momentum under its new leadership, continuing to provide impactful programming, scholarships, and career opportunities for professionals across the industry.
