Civic Partner Award: Chicago Police Department

BOMA/Chicago is proud to recognize the Chicago Police Department for its vital partnership with BOMA/Chicago's Preparedness Committee and Public-Private Task Force. During heightened protests and civil unrest due to international conflicts and election tensions, CPD has worked closely with BOMA/Chicago members on critical public safety issues, ensuring the safety of our buildings, employees, and tenants. CPD’s dedication was especially evident in preparations for the Democratic National Convention, where the Department showed exceptional professionalism in safeguarding residents while honoring individual civil rights.
Industry Champion Awards: Erin Belknap and Tom Henkey

This year, BOMA/Chicago is thrilled to jointly honor Erin Belknap with Sterling Bay and Tom Henkey with Titan Security Group. As the former, long-time Chair and Vice Chair of the Preparedness Committee, Erin and Tom were instrumental in leading the Committee’s efforts, providing vital resources and guidance throughout pivotal moments, from the pandemic to civil unrest. They led monthly meetings, facilitated critical tabletop exercises, and fostered strong, collaborative relationships with law enforcement and public agencies. Their initiative in organizing appreciation events for the Chicago Police and Fire Departments further exemplifies their dedication to our community.
