BOMA/Chicago Members Attend CPPTF EOC Orientation
This month, 14 BOMA/Chicago and other private sector members attended orientation for the Chicago Private Public Task Force (CPPTF) seat in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
The EOC is activated by the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) to coordinate the City's public safety response during critical operations and exercises, such as weather emergencies, large public events, and escalation of the national threat level.
Serving as a private sector representative at the EOC is an important role that provides real-time interaction with first responder organizations and time-sensitive sharing of security information and updates. Private sector representatives serve shifts ranging from several hours to a day and share notifications with all CPPTF organizations including BOMA/Chicago, ChicagoFIRST, Chicago Loop Alliance, and ABOMA.
