Chicago Releases Building Decarbonization Study

The City of Chicago recently released its Decarbonization Study that includes 26 recommendations, including implementation of a building performance standard and a shift from fossil fuel gas to electricity.

Members of BOMA/Chicago served on the city’s decarbonization working group that contributed to the study. Members and staff will continue to serve and contribute to the discussion once the group is revived to discuss policies and implementation.
