BOMA/Chicago Intervenes on ComEd Multi-Year Integrated Grid Plan Case
In response to the Illinois Commerce Commission’s (ICC) order filed in July for ComEd to file an initial multi-year integrated grid plan, BOMA/Chicago has filed as an intervenor to be a party to the case.
The Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA), signed by Gov. Pritzker on September 15, 2021, requires ComEd to implement distribution system planning to accelerate progress on Illinois clean energy and environmental goals and hold electric utilities publicly accountable for their performance.
The multi-year integrated grid plan will also establish rates for all ratepayers, including commercial office buildings. Filing as an intervenor will allow BOMA/Chicago to argue in front of the ICC to implement fair rates for our building members.
