Over 170K Pounds of Food Collected at BOMA/Chicago’s GCFD Holiday Food Drive

Over 150 buildings participated in the 2018 GCFD Holiday Food Drive. Our goal was to collect 120K pounds to feed the food insecure of Chicagoland. Our members surpassed that goal by collecting 172,712 pounds of food. We collected 58,268 in physical food donations and $31,790 in monetary donations ($1=3.6 pounds). Annual GCFD Holiday Food Drive
Each year, BOMA/Chicago members unite to help feed the food insecure of Cook County through our partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD). The food drive is held during November and December of each year. BOMA/Chicago has partnered with the GCFD since 2008 and during this tenure, we have collected 915,412 pounds of food.
